1. Who we are
Mobou is a desktop app for macOS. It lets your AI models (for example Claude, GPT, and Gemini) work together as one team.
Mobou is made by Circled Fit, a business with a business license in the State of Kuwait (“we”, “us”).

2. The short version
- Mobou is a beta. It is a test version. Do not put sensitive information in Mobou, for example passwords, payment details, ID numbers, health information, or the personal data of other persons.
- Your work stays on your Mac. Your chats, projects, pages, and files are stored on your Mac. We do not have a copy.
- Usage counts only if you say yes. At the first start, the app asks if it can send anonymous usage counts, for example “an answer arrived”. The counts never contain your chats, prompts, files, name, or keys. You can turn them off in Settings at any time. The website counts visits without cookies. Mobou shows no advertising.
- Your AI providers get your prompts. When you ask a question, Mobou sends it to the AI models that you connected. Each provider handles your data under its own terms and your own account.
- We get only what you send to us. For example, feedback that you type and send.
- We do not sell your data.
3. Data that stays on your Mac
Mobou stores this data on your Mac only:
| Data | Where |
|---|---|
| Chats, messages, projects, pages, memories, approvals, and run history | A database in ~/Library/Application Support/xyz.mobou.desktop/ |
| Files that you attach or that Mobou makes for you | Folders in the same location |
| API keys that you enter | The macOS Keychain |
| Your ratings of answers (👍 👎), answer times, and your model choices | App storage on your Mac. Auto uses this data to learn which model to choose for you. |
| Crash details and speed measurements | App storage on your Mac. Mobou does not send them. |
| A copy of your feedback | App storage on your Mac, for up to 30 days after it is sent |
You can delete this data. Delete the app data, or remove Mobou and its folders from your Mac.
4. Data that leaves your Mac
4.1 Your AI providers
When you send a question, Mobou sends it to the AI models that you connected. With the question, Mobou can also send:
- The earlier messages of the conversation.
- The answers of your other AI teammates.
- Files and pages that you attach.
- Web pages that Mobou opened for the question.
Some AI apps (Claude Code and Codex) can also read your Mobou history (chats, memories, projects, and saved work) through a read-only Mobou tool. They do this when your question needs earlier context. The text that they read goes to their provider.
Mobou connects to the providers in two ways:
- Through the provider’s own app on your Mac, with your own account and plan: Claude Code (Anthropic), Codex (OpenAI), Antigravity or the Gemini app (Google), Grok (xAI), and Kimi (Moonshot AI). Mobou does not see or keep your login for these apps.
- Directly, with an API key that you enter: for example Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, Google Gemini, xAI, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Groq, Cerebras, Together AI, Hugging Face, or another service that you name. Mobou keeps the key in the macOS Keychain and sends it only to that service.
Local models (Ollama and LM Studio) run on your Mac. Their data does not leave your Mac.
Each provider handles your data under its own terms and privacy policy, not under this policy. Each provider publishes its privacy policy on its own website. Read the policies of the providers that you connect.
4.2 Web pages and search
- When your message contains a web address, Mobou opens that page, so that the models can read it. The website sees your IP address.
- For research, an AI teammate searches the web with its own tools. Mobou then opens the pages that it found.
- Before Mobou or a teammate opens a page on a site that you did not give and that no search found, Mobou asks you with a card. A web address can carry text from your chat to its site, so the card shows the full address.
- The Mobou browser panel is a normal web browser. When you type words instead of an address, it searches with Google.
- When you search for a page cover image, Mobou sends your search words to Openverse (api.openverse.org).
- When an answer contains a map, the map images come from OpenStreetMap.
- Images and videos in answers load from their websites only after you click “Load”.
- Videos and designs that you add to a page (YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, Figma) load from those services.
4.3 Voice dictation
When you press the microphone button, Mobou uses Apple’s speech recognition on macOS. Apple can process the audio on its servers. Apple’s privacy policy applies to that audio. Mobou does not send or keep the audio.
4.4 Feedback that you send
When you click Send in the feedback box, Mobou sends:
- Your message.
- The screen that you were on (Chat, Workshop, or Page editor).
- The Mobou version number and the platform (macOS).
- A random feedback ID and the time.
Mobou does not send your chats, files, name, or email with feedback.
What happens to feedback:
- It goes to our server at mobou.xyz, which is hosted by Vercel.
- Our server saves it as an issue in our private GitHub repository, where we read it. Only we can see this repository.
- To sort feedback and to fix problems, we can use an AI coding tool, for example Claude by Anthropic. The tool then reads the feedback text.
Our server uses your IP address for a short time to stop spam (a limit of 8 messages in 10 minutes). The server does not store the IP address. Vercel’s own records can include it.
We keep feedback for up to 24 months. To delete your feedback earlier, contact us with the feedback text or the time that you sent it.
4.5 Updates and model scores
- Updates. Mobou asks mobou.xyz for a new version 10 seconds after it starts, and then every 6 hours. The request contains no personal data. Vercel sees your IP address. The download of Mobou and of each update comes from GitHub (github.com). GitHub sees your IP address, under GitHub’s own privacy statement.
- Model scores. Mobou uses a list of model scores to choose the best model for each question. The list comes inside the app, and new scores arrive with app updates. Mobou does not download the list separately.
4.6 Installation help
When you ask Mobou to install an AI app for you, and you approve the approval card, Mobou runs the official installer of the company that makes that app: claude.ai (Anthropic), chatgpt.com (OpenAI), or antigravity.google (Google).
4.7 Usage counts (from Mobou 0.1.6, only if you say yes)
At the first start, Mobou asks: “Share anonymous usage counts?” The counts stay off until you say yes. You can change your answer in Settings at any time. When the counts are off, Mobou sends none.
When you say yes, Mobou sends:
- A random number that Mobou makes on your Mac. It is not your name, your email, or a number of your Mac.
- The Mobou version and the macOS version.
- These events, with their time:
- Mobou opened (one time each day).
- An AI connected (only the company name, for example “Anthropic”).
- An answer arrived (from one AI or from a team; no text).
- A second AI checked an answer.
- You rated an answer 👍 or 👎.
Mobou never sends your chats, prompts, answers, files, file names, project names, API keys, name, or email with the counts.
The counts go to PostHog, our analytics service, in the United States. We tell PostHog not to keep your IP address. We keep the counts for up to 12 months. We use them only to learn if people use Mobou, and which parts help them.
5. Our website
- The website mobou.xyz is hosted by Vercel.
- The home page has a YouTube video in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
- If you joined our old waitlist, your email is with Buttondown, our email service. The website has no waitlist form now.
- The website uses PostHog to count visits, the page that sent you (for example a Reddit post), and clicks on the download button. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. PostHog uses your IP address only to count unique visits for one day, and does not keep it.

8. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you which data about you we have.
- Correct it.
- Delete it.
- Stop a use of it.
Most of your data is on your Mac, and you control it there. For feedback and waitlist data, contact shamlan.mobou@gmail.com. The usage counts have no name or email, so we cannot find your counts unless you send us the random number that Mobou shows in Settings. We answer within 30 days.
You can also complain to your data protection authority.
9. Security
- API keys are in the macOS Keychain.
- Mobou asks for your approval before an AI model changes files, runs commands, or does other important actions.
- Updates are signed, and Mobou checks the signature before it installs one.
- The model score list is signed, and Mobou checks the signature too.
No system is fully secure. If we learn of a security problem that affects data that we keep, we will tell you as the law requires.
10. Children
Mobou is not for persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we change the date at the top. If a change is important, Mobou or our website tells you before the change starts.
